Calanque de L'Oule

In provençale this is a big pot or cauldron. It owes it's name to it's vertical rock face and inner, circular walls. When there is a storm the sea water appears to bubble and froth giving rise to the comparison of a boiling cauldron.

With it's vertical columns, the " Cathedral of L'Oule" makes one imagine that it contains a vast, stone organ.
